Implicit in the human to human to AI conversational chain is the second person’s assumption that the first person didn’t think to ask AI. The mere fact of asking another human a question (absent a strong pattern of behavior to the contrary)

I don't know if it counts as a 'pixel' font, but https://fsd.it/shop/fonts/pragmatapro/ has hand-drawn bitmaps for a huge swath of unicode (and hand-hinting for aliased rendering IIRC?) It'

DeepSeek claims to have trained on something like 2k H800, this is ~0.5k GH200 … it’s not nothing. Sure they’re not going to _serve_ it at scale, but that’s not the point? Also the line between “finetuning a base model” and “man this is a r

I’ve made the same argument On Here. Paying the full price (should!) make you consider you usage, pick the right model, delegate to cheaper/local providers, …. It makes you use the models the way they’re going to be used after the subs

I suspect subscription limits are quite a bit higher than the equivalent tokens their dollar cost could purchase. I similarly feel like I can get a lot done with a $20/mo Claude Pro subscriptions, but also can easily spend $10-20/

It’s hilariously persistent in this, esp. for anything even slightly divergent from the beaten path. Discount everything the AI box says about emacs to zero.

I'm viewing this as a user of non-Ant Stainless SDKs. I don't have an account or relationship with you guys, and thanks to your (excellent!) product, the surfaces I contact don't have a direct dependence on your services. B

Some clarity about existing users/SDKs would go a long way. Otherwise this reads like "we just bought OpenAI's front door and we're EOLing it. Hopefully no one was planning to use it in the future". Petty and poin

One can't help but observe the contrast between counterparty behavior here vs. the crypto boom. A counterparty service had a secret worth 400K in-hand and just passed it back to the user. Meanwhile crypto worries about MEV, the Dark F

You may want to take a look at `man ed`, `info ed`, or [0]. ed is many things, but verbose is not one of them. In particular, it's designed for the teletype era, when (a) the user would have a trace of all the commands they'd sent

Only sort of related, but I would love to see a harness with ed as the primary file editing / reading tool. Half the bash Claude runs seems to be sed anyway, having some state persist in ed would seem to help. What does one do when a f

All evidence is that the final training runs across thousands to low tens of thousands of GPU, and that a single instance of the resulting model runs (or could run) well within a rack (ie NVL72). The massive scale is all massively parallel:
