I recently noticed this on Fiverr.com. I had used it in the past and wasn't ever hit up for a tip. Paid for some work to create some icons just the other day, and the payment flow hits you up for a tip at the end. With wording like

Also, typically, the "journalist" doesn't pick the headline...an editor does. Not sure if their AI section follows that tradition.

That's tricky though, as access to the drugs varies by society also.

I can't help but wonder how many of these layoffs are really just "rank and yank" in disguise. Where the company will soon go back to backfilling pretty much the same spots from the open market. And, funny enough, if the po

Looks like we've overwhelmed it? I'm seeing only "no matching tag found". Also seeing "Uncaught ReferenceError: example1 is not defined " in the JS console.

Tried adding adjectives like "deep" to the request, but it then portrays Hacker News exclusively as a sort of beacon of hope. "Write an angsty poem about hacker news" was better, but too cynical. I'm unable so fa

Not a word, but "zzzz", or any four character repetition makes a perfect square. So now the previous comments that generate almost-squares make sense to me. It all clicked a little late for me :)

Tried asking ChatGPT to write a poem about hacker news. Parts of it seem pretty well done: Where coders gather, to share and explore. Stories of startups, and open-source galore, A community united, forever to soar. With upvotes

The Redis example is a little different: "fork() e.g. Redis: Calling fork marks all of the process's pages as copy-on-write. Then when a single byte on a page is modified, the page must be copied. Redis uses fork to create a read

Obviously faked reviews is my pet peeve. It's irritating that Amazon can't figure out how to spot and remove these, or at least offer a "report this" button. Even when the review is obviously for an entirely different

There's also the notion of seeing when expensive planned maintenance is due. Changing the timing belt is a good example where the cost can exceed $1k, so knowing when that's due milage wise and what the current mileage is becomes

I remember this being especially bad for certain niches like locksmiths. In that space, someone would create fake businesses and then take the leads they got via phone, email, websites, etc, and then refer the business to some actual locks

Character is a tricky concept to me, as it's hard to make comparisons without context. It's easier to have good character, for example, if you're born into circumstances with less temptation to push those boundaries.

The short delay in a toggle switch turning on, as opposed to a checkbox, is also irritating. Like, if it's used to expose an additional menu option, for example. That stutter of waiting breaks the flow.
