I feel like namespaces came much later than Docker Hub, but I can’t really find a good historical record of docker registry features (or at least easily searchable ones). The global namespace was either forcibly cleaned or delegated to who

Unfortunately, my enterprise scale employer forced me onto ECS on EC2 for some of my apps for a very specific reason: Reserved instance pricing. I think there’s reserved instance-like pricing for Fargate now. For one particular set of conta

You’re confusing language with the compiled bytecode virtual machine that it runs on. OpenJDK underpins almost all of the VMs out there. Sure Android has it’s own JVM, but kotlin, scala, closure, jruby, jython, and more all still need to be

Okay so I think I understand your objection a bit more. So fish only wants you to define a function called fish_prompt in order to customize the prompt. That function can be defined however you want. It can be in fish’s equivalent of .bashr

I liked fish a lot but various tooling at work just expected you to be working in something sh-like. I handled sourcing files of env vars with some utility functions but I still found myself having to drop into bash/zsh pretty often. I

In fact, this only works if combined with a Secure Boot disabling exploit. Secure boot (despite the MS key...thing) still would prevent the modified bootmgr.efi from booting. The article works very hard to bury that bit.
