You can't make the browser to send you cookies for other origins so you won't be able to use them from your server.

I don't quite get what you mean. If the cross-origin server (to your app) wants to be consumed then it will respond with the correct headers. And if the server is under your control then you can configure it so.

But now the server code is there, so we now have this mobility, no?

Perhaps there will be a tab for your wallet, and an extra button to pay. Apart from that - you don't need to use the cryptocurrency parts.

The problem with Keybase is that its UI should be a lot more polished. Other than that, how does using cryptocurrencies interfere with chat?

Could somebody elaborate the animosity towards being able to pay in Signal, or and perhaps also the animosity towards Signal itself? I use it, seems like an e2ee and uncluttered messaging app that just works.

Thanks! More feedback from my Firefox (Chrome appears ok): spacing between words is really large. Ticking off font-family (or having it just sans-serif) in developer tools seems to fix it.

I didn't say that there were no alternatives, but just that bitcoin does provide value. If you are part of the "we", then you got what you wanted I suppose. Everybody who didn't want the inflation were left out.

Absolutely. What I'm saying is that I personally don't need to know about this. I suspect that OOM's behavior is of similar effect to most developers.

I think what the OP means is that you can be in any filesystem without needing to put much thought into it (regardless of the very real differences in implementation). Advanced users who want to interface with the details can do that, but f

Bitcoins only true value is that it is the biggest/first, and it's limited. If any of the other cryptocurrencies catch up with it in terms of market capitalization/popularity then bitcoin might also lose a lot of its value.

Can't stocks be dilluted? And real estate is much more difficult to buy or evaluate. Bitcoin (or some other cryptocurrencies) you can simply buy without much hassle.

What are the current choices for "CD quality" speech compression (lossy but indiscernible) at the moment? Just had a discussion with a friend of keeping an always-on speech recorder on and wondered about disk space consumption.

The GH issue poster was overreacting in multiple steps: first by getting the generic reply, then thinking that making issues was disabled to "get rid of him" (or what not). He/she should get some sleep.

It's even easier to hold the currency, but unfortunately you can't because its value is reduced by others. You are pretty much forced to do these "easy" things, I'd rather not have anything to do with it until I act

Having a distinction of if something does IO or not is quite important, and the fact that haskell has the ability to encode it in types is what other languages don't have. Secondly, IO is just one monad. You can build a more granular

It's the fact that it is `Int -> Int -> Bool` that ensures you that the function doesn't do any random thing (like doing something on the database). Combining non-IO capable functions is quite helpful in reasoning about pr

Not a too original counterargument, but: whenever anyone starts creating more money that you hold, the value of what you have gets smaller.

To clarify the sibling, a signature of `Int -> Int -> Bool` can't do any IO (so no connecting to databases, reading/writing files, network requests), so it does tell you a lot about a function. It can manipulate strings, d
