What are the "\e[A" and "\e[B" do, are they key presses? I usually do `history | grep ...` to find the command and then use it. Non-emacs users might tend to find this surprising, but in a shell buffer you can move aroun

Perhaps you can ask the other victims when did they register their accounts to see if that's true?

You don't need a plugin to increase/decrease speed, the following bookmarklet works for most sites to increase speed by 10%: javascript:(function(){ let speed =[...document.querySelectorAll('audio,video')].filter(v =>

In the video he explains that the "faster than light" effect happens due to the magnetic field traveling through air (because the light bulb is so near by). At least that's how I understood it; and hence my question about cha

A follow-up question: would there be no tiny change in the graph if the wires exiting the battery were further away from the wires immediately entering the light bulb?

You are right. It appears there is a cut-off for inclusion (perhaps low, < 20, star count?).

My phone numer has literally never changed (going 20+ years now). Perhaps it's different in the US somehow (e.g people use their work number for private purposes too), but in my experience private numbers tend to remain the same.

Given that this is a "history" I can't believe they don't mention grep.app. It's pretty much the way to search entire github. There probably aren't as many drill-down features as the new official way, but spe

I don't think being even a linux "old-timer" would help with the low-level stuff that they are doing. (As the sibling) Supporting on Patreon is what hopefully gets us what we want quicker :)

Anyone between the site and the user can inject any content to the site.

Yup, don't see any downsides either. I bet many technical people don't even know that https does actually leak domains via SNI, great that they finally patch it up! Regarding parent's comment: is ad blocking based on domains

I'd guess even if Firefox did keep extensions unrestricted then slowly they would die away - given how much smaller the user base will be. We need some new power to emerge in this space.

Ack on the simplicity part and not needing to talk to the server after the first load. But the main concern is that stuff could simply be injected on that first load. Depending on how you host, the easiest solution might be to use the caddy

My sentiment exactly. 27" is a bit too tall vertically, but 26" or 25" would be ideal (with a resolution larger than 1920x1200).

Yup. They should just say "it's the ease of use" and be done with it. It's a pretty good reason to use a technology.

Right. With the current situation you could define a custom /= for every type. In the new situation /= is a regular function which is defined as `a /= b = not (a == b)` and you wouldn't be able to redefine it.

For those not in the know, a redundant method (/=) is removed from the Eq class and added as a regular function, and, apparently, this is making a few people very angry. (Not sure why though)

Recently listened to the Haskell Interlude podcast with Lennart Augustson where he mentions in the end that he's at Epic Games. Looks like they are investing greatly in Haskell-like things now. [1] https://haskell.foundation
