But WASM is a virtual instruction set for the browser , so wouldn't it be convenient (and maybe fast) to control DOM from it? I guess one can run WASM on servers, too, but aren't there plenty of ways there to do it already?

Interestingly enough, I've seen other projects switch from github to email-based patch submission (using git behind the scenes though). If I understood correctly, to receive only higher effort contributions.

Depends on how many new U(U/L)IDs you insert, but when it's part of an index anyway then I personally would, as the performance penalty would be small (much smaller than anything else you do).

You should, but B-tree is the most common data structure used for database indexes, and sequential order performs better than random order for index keys.

This article confuses static linking and deterministic builds. I.e Nix, a "store-based system" (author's term), still very much dynamically links. Static linking means copying actual program code from libraries into the execu

The systemd attack vector is already there, and now the SUID attack vector is removed - sounds like reduction in attack vectors, no?

As a user of nix I most certainly will continue to use it, there isn't really any need to know about the community issues at all. I also don't think there is any reason to "fork it" either, just go to a forum or chat roo

Got it! I think nested envs become confusing really quickly, so there it is indeed better to do it explicitly. My assumption overall in this is that most people have just one .env per project (or perhaps in sub-folders per environment, e.g

Of you're in the directory, don't you want the env to be loaded? For me, being able to forget it is one of the features.

AFAIU, these tests were ran 30 times each and apparently some took minutes to run, so it's unlikely that you'll get any different conclusions.

Regarding Kazaa (and also later, Skype), the OG developers were all Estonian. Zennström and Friis were the business people (and Friis is Danish).

Hmm, I write nix too, but never write shell within nix. Do you use it for custom builders? How is using (nix?) standard library something that you don't want ?
