I've been using Android since 2010 and don't remember having any stability issues for the last 6-8 years at least. Maybe it's a Pixel-thing? I've mostly owned Sony and Moto devices. They're often 1-2 versions behind

This and the "C Programming Language, 2nd Edition" was how I taught myself C back in the mid 90's.

Seems to be a major problem in many desktop environments. I use the "super + right-click" in Gnome for the same reason (Ubuntu).

I remember several PC games with "amiga music". Settlers (the original), SuperFrog, Pinball Fantasies, and so on. Most likely because they were amiga ports. They didn't necessarily use the MOD format all of them, but still. I

Same here in Denmark, though we do have to get a physical exam when getting a driver's license.

It's noticable worse than the examples in the blog post. I mean, it's good enough for listening, but no better than the competition.

It might have been Dragon NaturallySpeaking. I remember toying around with it 20 years ago or so. Apparently it has just been bought by Microsoft.

Wow, thought mine was high. I have been listening since October 2015, 114 days. I must confess that sometimes I fall asleep while listening.

Interesting. I've heard people refer to it as "museumstasten" (key of museums). Probably a regional thing.

I would love a modern "non-smart" tv, but do they even exist? It's the reason why I stick to my Sony Bravia from 2009 until it dies.

I think that's just how the hardware does it when you assign a different color to each vertex.

As a Dane, that really surprised me.

Also, I've driven a Hyundai i10 for the last 10 years and it's been very reliable. Maybe because I don't drive that much to begin with, but still.

I agree. I guess if you have all those apps, but can't install any further apps, it's a "feature phone".

Use whatever tool works best for you. I use node.js for "shell scripting" on my own systems because that's what I use anyway for other stuff.

Doesn't "Kindle (1st and 2nd Generation)" include "Kindle (1st Generation)"? Getting a new device is a pretty nice gesture though I guess very few still have a working 1st generation Kindle.

It will be thrown back in your face if the apology comes out as insincere. I guess the lesson is to not apologize unless you really mean it.

Oh, I remember the "HTC First". That didn't go too well. Seems like that boat sailed a long time ago.

Yeah, I was about to say they came out around the same time. Even Doom and Quake is only three years apart, but I feel like it was much more. Maybe because I was younger at the time.

Nitter looks pretty cool. Didn’t know about that one. Does something like that exist for Facebook as well?

From the Framework comparison page: "Guild Wars 2 uses Mithril (yes, inside the game!)" I would love to hear more about that! Anyone know where I can find more information?

Is it that much better than Quest 1? The first Quest was already pretty great compared to everything else, Facebook or not.
