Please research the economic literature on wealth taxes. There are numerous problems with it, too many to discuss in a comment.

I read the study you linked and it did not say that the SAT was a poor measure of performance? What it did say was that in isolation, the SAT score was worse than GPA, but the overall best predictor was a combination of SAT and GPA. I think

I'm a little disgusted with these lawsuits. The preponderance of scientific evidence is on the side of Monsanto (gag): Roundup isn't carcinogenic. The one study that is significant to these cases from the IARC has numerous statist

That seems optimistic. I have zero reason to believe anything will replace Java or C# anytime soon. Anecdotally, but in my area I have seen almost zero job postings for Go.

Garbage collection is a big productivity boost. That's why Java killed C++ to begin with in the enterprise space. You can't go backwards in that sense.

I think you're using the word "alt-right" wrong. When other people use it, they're talking about the people who marched in Charlottesville, and lurk on freerepublic and Stormfront. A free nation for a certain pale skin t

That sounds terrible. The law isn't cut and dry like that: it's interpreted by judges, who are legal experts. You're basically making contracts extremely risky to use for their intended purpose, or at least any contract that

This is pretty neat! The next step: create an array of common-clocked RTL-SDRs connected to patch antennas, and mount them on a rail. Use beamforming techniques so you don't have to manually wand the device. Connect an antenna to a sig

Do you not find problems in simulation? I used to do modeling in Ansys and CST Microwave Studio, and found them to be fairly accurate.

Every company with valuable data is interested in computer security. I have never seen a shortage of positions for qualified candidates. AI has way too much hype behind it. Deep learning is not the best solution for most business data probl

This article was pretty light on substantial criticism of the program. I suppose the most significant was the girl with epilepsy who was advised not to look at computer screens more than 30 minutes a day. That's definitely unfortunate.

The very general rule of thumb is anything greater than 10 MHz switching frequency. To get an accurate answer requires physical stimulation, or "build it and see if it works or not".

Utility is maximized for society as a whole when the workforce grows. However, my utility is not equal to society's. In fact, selfishly speaking, I would be better off if h1b was shut down, licensure roles introduced, etc etc.
