I absolutely love the smell of coffee. However, I don't enjoy drinking it in particular. I like it with a lot of milk and I find the taste of some coffee varieties quite interesting, enjoyable even. But not enough for daily drinking.

Yes! Make a new version of the language that includes the used extensions, freeze it for a while, add a few chapters to Learn You a Haskell. That would improve the experience of a learner who wants to move from toys to real projects.

The level of risk and needed effort also scales with the user base. So supporting local Gitlab or similar for 20 users is more like a 0.05 FTE, whereas it can easily be 0.5 FTE or more for 100 users.

A bit more than half of the added value in Germany is created by companies with less than 500 employees and less than €50M yearly turnover (Mittelstand). There is in fact a lot of specialized machinery vendors providing significant value. N

The site is probably machine translated. The texts in Czech and Slovak don't make much sense. To me, this screams shortcuts and falsehood. I immediately start to question what features are really there. Just my 2c.

Exactly. I've read the article but I don't find the argument very convincing. The helmet is light enough I don't think about it when driving. Does it really alter my driving style to be riskier? I've cracked two helmets

For the record, I do wear a helmet on a racetrack in a car. :-) It adds major inconvenience, but the general risk on a racetrack is greater because you're pushing the vehicle to its limits. The risk/inconvenience ratio seems OK fo

I'd like to wear helmet as a passenger as well as a driver on such bike. The helmet doesn't add almost any inconvenience, is reasonably cheap and light. Why not wear it? I use shared bikes one-way quite often and I usually carry m

At racetracks, they're usually mandatory. It's all a matter of risk vs. inconvenience.

Yes. Without any active cooling, it also places a limit on power consumption so it advertises it should be cost efficient to operate it at home.

According to the README, it bisects. It doesn't matter much for me, though - the batches in our case were never big. https://github.com/bors-ng/bors-ng/blob/master/README.md#how...

I implemented a similar idea for a few companies. The response was always very positive. In one company, it grew into a cluster of a few servers for higher capacity and availability. This load balancing and management code is a quite more c

If you're interested how it works (and how to possibly implement it by yourself), I wrote about the idea a few years ago. [1] To Postgres, recovering as a clone looks the same as if someone suddenly unplugged the computer power cable.

In some parts of Europe (Czechia specifically but I heard it worked similarly in other countries), the standard is two full calendar months, so usually about ten weeks. Some candidates request three months and the employer usually can wait.
