"hurt by a trade war between the largest chip producer, the U.S., and the largest consumer, China" This sentence confuses me. Seems like they have it backwards. Can someone clear this up?

I just received my light phone and while I haven't used it much yet I'm mostly a fan. I used the Punkt MP01 for a while and it's still pretty much my favorite phone ever. We'll see how I feel about the E-ink display on t

Don't forget the part where the ratings agencies systematically failed to accurately assess the riskiness of the MBSs because they didn't want to piss off their customers (the banks / their mortgage issuance wings).

Completely agree. I want old school dials with needles on a regular dash and zero screens anywhere in my car. I just want the propulsion of the car to be decoupled from burning fossil fuels. All the other dumb tech can go. The fact that par

I justified it to myself by knowing that I'd be saving like $30-40 a month by not paying for data. Idk where you're located, but there's a provider called Ting: https://ting.com/ that charges you by usage, so

Nothing compares to the Punkt MP01 and MP02 IMO. I've had the MP01 for years and it's fantastic, the only issue has been with service and I imagine that would be resolved with the MP02 and 4g. https://www.punkt.ch/

Yes. 100x Yes. See Herman Daly on Steady State Economics. Also see https://newleftreview.org/II/111/troy-vettese-to-freeze-the-... for a critique of Daly's proposals as being not radical enough.
