It will also be incredibly difficult for Facebook to monetize its games, which still represent a sizable portion of their .com revenue. No game company will be willing to give them a cut of their mobile revenue when Apple is already taking

I think this message is geared toward startups. But it's not explicit. It's a good point for startups to try to increase the understanding of their customers. But obviously is not relevant for companies with much larger reach.

Just a note - it's 25% of employed graduates that go to consulting/finance. Not of all graduates. This is a significant difference.

Great idea, but the biggest problem is that it incentivizes users to pay only with credit cards. For a small restaurant owner or retailer, those bills can go upwards of $10,000-20,000/month, and could be incredibly detrimental for, say a fr

Interesting, but I feel like I read this article 4 years ago. Every couple of years some research firm comes out with a study on "The New Gamer" and who they are - "Not just basement dwellers anymore!"... I'm not saying it's not worthwhile

Apple isn't coming down to $100 from $375 - not anytime soon at least - don't be crazy.

Agreed. That surprised me initially, but then I thought about it a little more. I think the issue is that with a "Free App" promotion, you get great exposure, but only to people who are going to buy your app for free. - People who do see yo

That really depends on the idea. Many ideas can't really run and "break even" with a small version. Those that immediately tie into a payment system, maybe, but many, espeically the biggest ideas (say, Groupon, Twitter, Square) I don't thin

It's all relative, Tam. When I was 20 in college, $1000 in the bank was huge. Ballmer and Gates pull out at least $100,000,000 every 6 months from Microsoft. I wouldn't call $25,000 nothing personally, but it's all about perspective, I supp

Personally I got a lot of value out of my unpaid internships (Kate Spade & Sports Illustrated). Though I understand the reasons against it, I got to a) work with a great team, b) make some great business contacts for future job referral

Ballmer has done nothing for shareholders, and that's ultimately his job, regardless of how much money they make. It's unconscionable that they've been able to pull in the kinds of profits they have, and still done nothing with their stock
