Digikey actually makes really nice YouTube tutorials on how to use KiCAD: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vaCVh2SAZY4 When I had to design a board I used that.

To add to others, I prefer not to have jokes here, as I would rather to come here for a good discussion. I really don't want to have to wade through low effort jokes/memes to find such a discussion.

Respectfully, I do use signal, my family, my boss, most of my friends, etc. do not, they use SMS. Also, Telegram seems to be much better supported on the Pinephone as of now, so that is what I generally prefer.

Read reciepts or delivery reports? I'm not sure if SMS supports read reciepts, but I didn't think so. The MMS standard allows for read receipts ("MAY" not "SHALL"), I was unable to get it working, and I suspect

NixOS offers reproducible builds, which is why their package manager is the way it is. pip doesn't seem to offer very good support for that: https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/126326#issuecomment-86...

If I could ask, is there a reason that your development team is hostile to others packaging Home Assistant: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=27505277 To the point that they will threaten to relicense their own software:

FWIW, I am in the same camp as you. They seem oddly hostile to FOSS development (as shown in your comment and the top comment you replied to), and as such, I hesitate to use it for that reason.

In all fairness, a locked bootloader won't help against exploits in the OS: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=28516095 If I'm Snowden, I would be far more concerned about that.

So why bring in FireWire at all to the argument? Why not give USB examples? Giving the benefit of the doubt, the writing is extremely unclear and, to me, gives the impression of a comparison between the two. Same with referring to the other

I have seen this article a few times, and there's enough wrong info in it that it makes me question the rest of its claims: - The article confuses FireWire and USB in the last paragraph. USB, to my knowledge, doesn't do DMA, while
