I am forced to use Ubuntu 24.04 on my work laptop because that's the only Linux my company supports (and I refused to use a MacBook). Desktop experience is quite horrible and buggy compared to Fedora with up-to-date KDE Plasma on my ow

Almost two years ago I bought an opened but never used ThinkPad T14s from eBay very cheaply. It's not too specced but it does the job and it will easily last me 2-3 more years at which point I just buy another one. I see what Framework

I would recommend Fedora KDE Edition over Kubuntu, but I guess it's a personal choice.

Maybe events like this will be a wake up call to our community. Virtually everyone around me uses Apple everything - colleagues, friends, family. And they find it weird when I say I don't use Apple out of principle and I even have to j

This reminds of a joke we have in Russia which roughly translates into English as follows: "Comrade Stalin, it has been a terrible mistake!" The phrase could belong to one of Stalin's own sycophants who unluckily for themselv

I've been using Kitty terminal and they are absolutely comparable in the feature set: GPU-based rendering, speed, customisation. OS-native controls in Ghostty are not very important to me, I like terminal being a terminal, not a GUI.

I repeat, the evidence that South Africa submitted in this application spans 100 pages with reference. You are not disproving that but instead throwing ridiculous claims that Gazan population hasn't declined in size.

This is demagoguery. There is ample evidencence that Israel committed genocide in Gaza. Historians who study genocide all their careers, including Israeli Jewish ones, concluded it a long time ago. There is 100 pages with references in the

I have the same sentiment. I am forced to use a MacBook in my new job while waiting for them to procure a laptop that I can put Linux on. I can say that Linux with KDE Plasma desktop is in almost every way superior to Mac OS. Much better UX

This is a popular idea in the Israeli propaganda. Israelis like to say that they hate Netanyahu, but in reality, majority of Israeli Jews fully align with his policies towards Palestinians, and multiple polls confirm this. https:/

Thinkpad P1 is 1.8kg whereas Framework 16" is 2.4kg - substantial difference. And P1 even looks less bulkier overall. This is quite unfortunate, because I would rather buy Framework than Lenovo.

I love the modularity, but unlike the 13" version this one is just too bulky. For this reason I am eyeing up Thinkpad P1, even though it is only available with an Intel CPU.
