A friendly warning to all! Don't say anything negative about Bitcoin here or on /r/Bitcoin as you'll get gang-downvoted. A lot of people have a lot of built-up aggression by the ever-declining Bitcoin price and want yo

Not for that, but because I write a bunch of one-off tools and with Groovy, I can contain everything in a single file - including external dependencies, - and this is like the simplicity and portability of Bash in a higher-level language.

Open-source your product, let me use a custom domain (so that I can still keep my URLs alive after you belly up), and then I can reconsider, but, for now, Ello is not much different than the rest. Hates and likes change, plus, VCs can twist

Great news for Spaces ( http://spaces.pm/ ), but am I the only one who prefers HipChat over Slack? Due to its feature set, Slack gets way too noisy thus unproductive.

Java (or should I say "JVM") is great and only getting better. If only the JVM had something like npm or RubyGems and a language not as complex as Scala to compile to bytecode as efficiently as Java, with some less verbose syntax,

I am a user and I do care. As there's no standard definition a package manager, I collected those as the basic and common features among 99.99% of the package manager in practical wide use today. And, obviously, I'm not alone in t

Voice of reason. The "ad-free version of X" never worked... unless it's self-hosted and enthusiast-made. Here, we still see people wanting to make profit for themselves and the VCs and that's fine, but this is not how yo

Can you be more specific? I think the language features and the ability to pass structured data vs text, the OOP features are what all shells should be doing in the new millennium.
