These patterns apply to Javascript, which I wasn't expecting from the title. Mods, could you edit in "Javascript" somewhere in the title, please?

"cons" is not just not a "reddit acronym", but is also a common term for "conventions" and "conferences" that has been in use for at least three decades. I haven't lived longer than two and a half but I wager it's older than I am. You're no

Phrased that way, I agree completely. An established codebase needs to be verified in some ways. But writing code and running it against tests is not exactly equivalent to TDD. TDD as I understand it is characterized by writing a failing te

Chris, you've jumped from Zoosk, to Formspring, to Amazon, to Etsy all in the period of two to three years. Maybe you've proven yourself resourceful enough at this point to not need the value it gives? (also, hi, former coworker!)

While I don't have personal experience with it myself, things like games lend themselves well to a limited use of OOP but also require performance-critical code and tight control over the language. With static analysis tools, I bet that C++

SLF4J basically won, IMO. Barring extremely specialized uses, there's not hugely compelling reasons to use anything else than slf4j-api as the logging interface to your backend of choice, I think. So there is a good default choice, and the
