The /s should have been obvious. I wouldn't try selling MacBooks to anyone. It's the worst popular device in terms of ergonomics, paired with OS that is incredibly hostile to developers and power users

Containers are great. But on MBP I have rancher, and a beautiful mirror-like screen, and that enormous trackpad which can fit my momma's fat ass. No technical argument will fit with the mindset of an average dev preferring MacBook.

+1 to that. I don't know how relevant is the parent argument these days, but pfu see released HHKB with trackpoint. Even despite dropping their signature topre switches, I consider this one of the best purchases. My wrists can't t

I said it before, I'll say it again: I won't consider Framework until they ditch they're crippled cursor block or offer trackpoint. I'll buy one on the day of release if they offer both options (my most recent¹ Lenovo is

Maybe I'm lucky. My employer encourages the use of AI, but no one expects me to ship 10x faster, just because AI types faster – coding never was a bottleneck.

Your initial question had your ungrounded assumption/opinion embedded in it. I did the same to you. Not the thing I usually do. Your reasoning has plenty of strawman arguments and opinions. Starting from SaaS is not software, to how AG

1. Why do you ask? Do you intend forking and making money out of it? 2. Why are you lying about AGPL being nonfree? As far as I'm concerned, it is free as in free speech for me as a user. This was the initial goal of the GPL. The freed

I'm not really sure how Epstein files are related to Elop making a malicious (some say, stupid, but I don't believe it) decision. But I'm gonna use this argument from now on, relevant or not. – they dropped production – at l

We are not talking about deterministic instructions, we are talking about deterministic behavior. UB is actually a big deal, and is avoided for a reason. I couldn't in my life guess what CC would do in response to "implement login

There's a big difference between deterministic abstraction over machine code, and probabilistic translation of ambiguous language into machine code. Compiler is your interface. If you treat LLM as your interface... Well, I wouldn'

Looks amazing! Some time ago I wanted to write a Nix configuration dsl for an application I use. My effort halted due to lack of type checking, and implementing one felt like too much effort which would never pay back. I'll give a try.
