I have negotiated every SWE offer I’ve had. It doesn’t “feel” good, but it’s helpful to know virtually all roles have wiggle room. The truth is engineers are still being hired and it costs money (and time/money) to interview more peopl

Every time I’ve tried Linux it’s always been a little clunky. I think it’s come a long way, but recently I loaded Ubuntu on to my old 2013 MacBook Pro and it works pretty well. What’s driving me crazy is I have all these shortcuts for Mac a

Computer programming books have a special place in my heart. I really like the idea of them. I think my brain is limited in how much it can retain from a book vs things I see and encounter daily though. My memory is optimized for urgent

I love the idea of piping my error messages into an LLM to help me debug. Would also love a solid local only LLM and have this basically in offline mode as well

Applying to a bunch of job postings isn’t really going to help. If you’ve already had a job as a dev than you’re already ahead of the game. I’d recommend spending more time on networking, it’s a lot easier to get an interview when you have

I’m not tmux master but I love using it to help organize different repos/projects I’m working on and especially when I need to run a long running query on a remote server it’s a lifesaver. I made an intro video for my setup here if any
