I've actually been (very) wary of adopting TypeScript once I learned of the multi-second compile times, even for tiny projects. I had actually been watching Deno in case they solved any of that.

I'd love to see an in-depth comparison of the contributions to technology from Jobs, Gates, and Torvalds.

Aside: it'd be cool to have a tool that could find the discussion you referenced in your first sentence. I wonder if Algolia is working on something in the space of topical search.

No. Xcode is needed for a lot of things like CLI tools, it's free.

Agreed. I imagine a lot of the blindsided users would be wary of using the Microsoft Store thereafter.

This talk by Bryan Cantrill on the history of OS-level virtualization is great. https://youtu.be/hgN8pCMLI2U Apparently the first version of Jails was a few hundred lines of code.

Seconded. Jerry makes thorough yet cosy and approachable content. Edit: he also covers engines which I find pretty interesting, a lot of Leela but my favourite so far is this game with AlphaZero and Stockfish: https://www.youtube

The PineTab comes with UBports OS build installed. Please note that the OS build is still in a beta stage, and while most core functionality works, some elements remain a work-in-progress. Small numbers (1-3) of stuck or dead pixels are a

Honestly if I were a POC the last thing I would want is accurate facial recognition. FaceID will work regardless thanks to depth maps. I can't see any other use of the technology benefiting me.
