I didn't take it as bragging; to me it looks like it comes from a position of wanting to teach. Security is basically a collection of things you ought not to forget, so I think exposure is important for people to a hold of it. I don&#x

False; Google wants everyone like them to keep them away from the competition. Edit: it's unfair to single Google out. It's unfortunately the correct game theory and impossible to regulate.

I have both, but if I could only have one I'd rely on the native iOS backup encryption. I trust Apple's implementation more than I trust myself accidentally leaving my disk unlocked in public. And I do trust myself not to leave my

It's literally a start-to-finish guide on setting up django with the library. I wouldn't say "nothing to do with"; it's entirely django commands and code in the blog post.

These kind of blog posts are gold for our industry. DigitalOcean might pay you this was contributed to their wiki? I'm not sure if this is too specific. You also might get a better response if it was tagged with Show HN.

Great, you're right; screw this design, and maybe let's even regulate flying to be more inefficient per mile so as to reduce total flying. More subtly though, yes you are right; we need to dedicate some money to carbon offsets and

I'm lost, why does nix care so much about things being in /nix and not, for example, /usr/local/nix?

In my opinion they are the same. If you stand up for your product, you are standing up for your users, or your clients if that's a less ambiguous term. For some teams, for example a lot of teams in Google and Facebook, the end-users ar

Cool repo, but the example is lame because a shell, or a git alias would do just fine. A shell script that consists of a one-line exec isn't what people concerned about. FWIW I'm a 99.9% POSIX masochist (probably closer to 4N)
