what is odd is that the keyboard configurator https://github.com/pop-os/keyboard-configurator references System76 laptops. Does that mean QMK will come to System76 laptops?

Those who really care that much about keyboards often want an efficient touch typing experience. Many people think that less keys are more efficient (easier to reach and easier to find without looking) and you just use layers. I tend to agr

Buildpacks IMHO suck for reproducible builds, unless you in all versions, and even then it can be hard to find out what you are really shipping. For serious (large, whatever that means) projects this is a huge problem. Docker/Container

circular dependencies at runtime are not really a problem and often necessary. circular dependencies at build time/between modules are evil.

as others mentioned you cannot really compare a concept (differential dataflow) with a product like Flink. I did not look in to differential dataflow so far, but my impression is that it would not handle all the problems Flink can handle. S

Come on. Gradle might have many features you might not need, but IMHO the one popular alternative maven is one of the worst designed build tools. Dependency resolution is a joke just taking the shortest path in the tree in case of conflicts

IMHO the article has some good points. E.g. I would guess a lot of organizations use ancient build tools ( maven always doing a full rebuild) and try to mitigate slow build times by going to towards small Microservices.

Sure if someone can come up with an approach to run an NNUE (efficiently updatable) network on GPUs that might really be another breakthrough. But at a first glance it looks to me that this could be very difficult. Because AFAIK the SF sear

That being said, assuming you can fully saturate multiple GPUs then the SF approach has the disadvantage that it cannot use the performance improvements for GPUs/TPUs which still are growing fast, whereas CPU performance only grows slo

No it is not solved. E.g. SFs recent inclusion of a NN has shown that it can beat Leela (which should be superior to AlphaZero).
