IMHO frid.ge was always a bit questionable, I personally built a comparable product and quickly realized that there is a huge amount of momentum around getting people into a system that is pretty much devoid of people you know. Groups (and

Personally I like the reverse, up and over at either Kings or Old La Honda down 84 -- then Pescadaro to Alpine and down Page.

Are people having success with hiring based on problems like this? I've seen it at Dropbox, Facebook, Bump, Quora (and many others). While I agree that it would remove the chaff from the job submission pipeline, does it fill it with enoug

Noticed there was a bit of lag between any operation... Anybody have an idea if it was a platform issue or a data fetching issue?

Outside the yet another list blog post, I'm since I've adopted wkrte ( http://code.google.com/p/wkrte/ ) as my favorite lightweight jQuery editor. Has anybody ever seen a real review of jQuery RTEs rather than an inventory?

Feels like somebody doesn't trust #define's for their C++ code. While you don't get the type "safety" you get something thats a bit more natural.

It's more of a personality trait that a "role". A typical CTO in a small organization is less of a people person and more of a technologist, the VPE is more of a business process person (it needs to ship on tuesday, don't forget the custom

XML has the advantage that validation is part of the DNA of the data, while JSON is useful the world of JSON validation is not mature by any stretch.

Just one point of interest is that Unisys only attempted to charge for the compression of data not the playback. So, browsers were never subject to the licensing fees that Unisys was asking for, only products like Photoshop which created/c

I guess the question is why are people still building/managing their own servers for startups? EC2 and Rackspace cloud is cost wise equal, with the ability to have cold standbys and somebody else manage the infrastructure. The only case th
