No, that's not really what I'm saying. A black hole is a just a region that light can't escape from. It is entirely possible for the inside of the black hole to be composed of normal, everyday matter, non-singularity matter.

> The universe is inside a black hole. This is trivially true, btw. The Schwarzschild radius of the observable universe is less than the presumed plausible size of the universe as a whole. Or alternatively, a "black hole" is a

Am I the only one disgusted by the elevation of career over life? Any successful and healthy marriage is a partnership where you work towards the benefit of each other, and sometimes that means compromise too. What should I value more, my

This came up when I signed up for cryonics. Interestingly, Alcor requires that you donate your body on death to their organization for research purposes, and they will not operate on you (what they believe to be a life-saving procedure) unt

Well there are six quarks. By a variant of the one-electron universe theory, we might argue that all quarks are shared instances of the same prototypical quark of that class. If we begin counting with 0, that's "5" quarks. So

Sure it does. You can have a collection of 5 objects and a collection of 2 objects. Push them together and you have 7 objects. But for whatever reason you just can't push any combinations together to form (a multiple of?) 6, or break u
