yeah, you can get something like this to the front page of reddit easily, if you and a couple of guys use a tor browser, and create fake logins, and upboat the content. Reddit doesn't have good defenses against tor browsing. Tor browsing/

yeah, but you can program your bots to train the spam filters. Nothi8ng annoys the user base more than false-positive spam filtering.

you're in the wrong demographic. remember, when you were in college, and on facebook. Then your parents, and 'old' people started to join. Sorry to say this, but you're considered the old person for the tumblr user base. Alot. Alot of 1

It'll be a neglible effect. The startup bubble will only hurt angels/VCs who continue to dump money into shitty/me2 companies, so they can collect their 10% management fees. The real bubble is in commodities. All the extra $$$ the Fed is

wait until atleast Sept. QE2 ends in June. So the Fed will stop pumping money into the economy. You'll have a good idea if we'll slump into a double dip recession by September.

err.. aren't you also proving that Groupon isn't a scaleable business, since it requires an army of salespeople to negotiate deals with retailers, and massage the pricing beforehand. I've read blogs (Techcrunch & the FDA groupon fail) t

This makes no sense @ all. The entire virtual currency market worldwide is 5B. So Zynga is valued at 1.4 times the global annual sale for virtual currency. One company! That's insane, and makes me question who's still pumping up Zynga on

Reddit has about 6 months before the digg spammers, and digtards turn reddit into a bruh-wasteland. This is not good news at all. Is anyone building a digg/reddt alternative?

it'd be better on kinect. Microsoft should buy this company: http://lightblueoptics.com/products/light-touch/ They claim to turn any surface into a touch screen. Combine that with kinect's technology, and microsoft has a revolutionary UX

it's not different. It was built to flip. It's getting harder, and harder to compete against the big social network, since everyone wants content to be pushed to them. So no one goes directly to web sites anymore. So I build sites to fli

This is one of my many failed bootstrapped startups. I thought the idea of aggregating all the best tumblr reblogs (reblog count > 2000) was a winner. Turns out there was no demand. I've put it up here to showcase how I executed the i

I Believed the hype. Thought I could quit my job, and have my web app be my sole source of income. Boy was I wrong. After 4 failed web app, I'm still trying to design one that will make me a sustainable income. Don't believe the hype. It

yeah I gave up on digg, and moved over to reddit. And so have most of my friend. It's like switching pubs after the last one has mistreated your mates.

So are you like a competitor to shopify? It seemed like you'd disrupt their market with your free shopping stores.

It's not about PR. It's about a halo effect. DST needs a pipeline of new startups to continue the web x.0 hype-cycle, so he can offload his Groupon, Facebook & Zynga. positions. He can afford to gamble $6M on YC startups, if they will c

how did nowmov get funding for this idea? It's against youtube's terms and conditions to make any $$$ (ad revenue, sponsorship, endorsement, etc) off the youtube api, if it's the main feature of the website.
