A distinction without a difference for the problem with AGPL.

So says you, but not actual lawyers. AGPL is not LGPL, so is the client library of a client/server thing enough to infect you? Probably. If there is no client library, what's the license on the example code that you used in your a

It was apparently a tiebreaker to me getting my first job. They liked how I documented technical stuff on my blog. And the process of writing something up is always great for making sure I know what I'm talking about. I want to write a

Yikes, thanks for the warning. It's working OK, but honestly that may be because 1) most people don't care about licensing, even the difference between public domain, AGPL, BSD, or GPL, or frankly shareware, or even pirated; and 2

Yes, but also stop them contributing in any way what so ever, including diligently upstreaming. AGPL throws the community baby out with the bathwater.

I don't disagree. SSH was already 25 years ago a mature code base with (more importantly) a limited scope and unchanging core requirements. I think its long life and limited scope is more of a factor to its security success than how go

That's not accurate. OpenSSH (and OpenBSD) have a myth around it about lack of security vulnerabilities, but while better than the average, it's wildly exaggerated: Reference: https://www.cvedetails.com/vulnerabili

What has made me give up on Cities Skylines is that you can't build a liveable city. It forces you to build US-style car-centric dystopias. I found that once you reach a certain city size this game is just car traffic management.

I think this review is either coming from a place of misunderstanding, or to help others not misunderstand what it is. The VF2 board is a development board. The Raspberry Pi is "small computer". Is a development board also a compu

Yup. The company prefers people in the US in general, and SV in particular. That's why it "bribes" people to move there to work. If you leave, then of course you should no longer be bribed to work there.

Then why are exactly the same workers in Poland being paid much less? SV employees are overpaid. They are being paid to work in SV . Because no sane person would want to live in San Francisco, Menlo Park, Cupertino, or Mountain View. And t
