Detecting the objects is the hard part. The planet killers are all likely to be highly elliptical objects with large orbital periods (on the order of thousands of years). With that kind of orbital period, we'd be lucky to see it befo

Good luck with those very brittle specs. I have fixed so very many utterly broken tests due to poor spec maintenance mainly due to really poor fixtures. The problem with fixtures is that they do not complain when things go sideways wherea

Look, I don't agree with the parent's viewpoint either but this comment is entirely unhelpful and borderline a person attack. Can we not?

Do you ever do anything outside at night? The digital billboards are not something you'd miss. They're too bright and attention grabbing to be anything but obnoxious.

You can say that all you want, but it still hits hard to be suddenly and unexpected out of a job. I think for me the lack of closure (I never did really find out what precipitated the layoffs) and lack of ability to say goodbye (remote c

Okay, I'll bite. So the proposition is to truck water 364 miles (from the next largest city center I could find, San Diego). I think you might be suggesting a pipeline, but let's be real, there won't be water in Scottsdale

It is so strange that Google lobbied so hard against something like this and then tried to ensure it didn't get traced back to them. Almost like it saw there being a big downside to a union being formed. I really wonder why that is?

What a bad idea that would be though. Talk about putting all of your eggs in one basket. I'd have a hard time believing anyone would suggest that you do this, as the risk for things going bad if the company fails is double. You lose
