I had friends experience what I think was way worse at Google. Don't really feel comfortable sharing, but lets say it more or less always involved power games and/or sexual harassment. Worst one was probably a combination. Google

This is fairly obviously true, FAANG's are large companies so lots of strange things happen even if they on average are great. I worked at Google for 10 years, and had 10 great years there with very little negative to say. That was tru

Agree about 80% trade, but that is also important. I think there are some other areas that are needed they could focus on, a European defense pact for example with joint exercises outside of NATO now that the US is AWOL. I think the euro wa

No it would not, because in that case it would be Turkey against NATO. Right now it is a dispute between two members so people are hesitant to meddle.

This has also been confirmed for Norway, but is already standard for most vaccinations. Some minor short term reaction is common.

I don’t think this is true at all. I would guess 95% of what is in nytimes is true. Are they always right and never have a political slant , of course not. It is interesting to see that when nytimes do print something that is obviously fals

You are overthinking it here. It is not a carefully thought out phrase, but something Stallman came up with in a speech for a particular audience once, and it stuck.

I mean this is they key for everything when making great products, accept your limitations and don't make it the users problem. It is so fundamental you should not have to say it but you are really right in this case.

I posted this somewhere else, the game has a ton of interesting concepts but they ran out of time a long time ago and half assed everything. Cut the content in third and make it 3x deeper and it would have been a great game (bugs and all).

>> They themselves are adopting the subscription based model now over ads Really? I don't see this at all. Sure they are dipping their toes, but some extremely high percentage of the revenue is still coming from ads.

What I was trying to say is that ad blocking cannot really be a lot better than Safari? You would have to block on the network level and not the content level.

I don't know if that is conclusive. First of all it seems unlikely people in India don't get enough vitamin D, it is a lot further to the south and inside the area that should have enough sun year round. I don't think you can

I thought they still had to use Apple webview for rendering web content meaning as blockers should not be significant different?

I don’t think google will do it until users start leaving in significant numbers at least. And that’s seems unlikely.

Yeah, I really don’t think this will happen. Google used to be really hands off with chrome and android but that stopped some time ago. Now both of them have captured markets and google is slowly making both worse for users and privacy. Say

Last generation consoles are really far behind today’s PCs. Like not comparably. Sure you can optimize them a ton since they are all mostly the same, but at some point you hit the limits.

I’m loving the game so far (on a PC with a 3080), but it is certainly wide instead of deep. It feels really really shallow. There is a lot of content but very little feels meaningful. Outside of the missions with the girlfriend there is ver

Maybe, but if you have RSUs in a FAANG those are your property and pretty safe. They can (must) also be sold when paying tax so pretty liquid asset.

If someone says racist/misogynist things for "lulz and giggles" I will assume that person is a racist/misogynist. The "it was just a joke" excuse is getting real old and tired.
