Yeah, I worked at Android in google at that time and he probably thought “I wish we could use kotlin”. It was still pretty rude to laugh though, had to be aware many candidates would already be nervous and would find it offensive.

For me, sure the hotels overcharge a lot but it is so much less than the flight ticket there I usually just shrug. For longer stays I just buy some detergent locally and was in the bathtub, many hotels have a string you can dry clothes on.

Can't you just mail things back? We did that from a trip to Italy, mostly wines. Almost all local vendors of expensive items was well prepared to mail things to the US.

I have the 25L I use for everything for almost 5 years now. Still see no signs of wear and I do not treat that thing nicely. I am wondering for the 40L, can you bring it as carry on item on flights? For the 25L I can and it is usually large

No they did not. I recently tried to buy an id4 and was told by the dealer that there was a 5k markup from sticker price and no reservation system. They have a list of people they will call when a car gets to the dealership and the first to

Does anyone know how zoning restrictions affect this in California? Wondering at what point you need to get approval to set up something in your backyard.

I want there to be world peace and all dogs to be happy and I think that is reasonable, but I also understand that it is not likely to happen. To be honest I feel that is pretty similar. If someone wants to get paid for something, it needs

We had that in Norway too. We don't have that in the US since it's part of the business model of the postal office or USPS to deliver ads in your mail box.

I don't think that is true anymore now that several jurisdictions says that the recruiter must mention a number first on the salary. They would never do that if they can at all avoid doing so. At any cost.

Right, of course aliens are extremely unlikely. The reason it is even talked about is because there are few convincing explanations how the Egyptians could theoretically have built the pyramids at that time.

Are there strong counterpoints to this? If that is possible it seems extremely more likely than aliens or whatever else people are coming up with.

I can't believe any of that is controversial. All political systems have been extremely captured and are very polarized and focused on short term thinking to make us miss the forest and focus on tiny divisive details. I would never vot

Because this is a thread about China? I’m not American, I don’t agree with the Vietnam war and I think the civil war was an ethical difficult decision. That was 150 years ago so not really sure why it is relevant.

I think people have a right to self determination. If Texas wants to secede please go ahead and do so. Same for Catalonia, Hong Kong or any other. Not saying it is a thing that should be done lightly, but also not impossible. Countries exis

Texas does not have a special one country, two systems status and Hong Kong does until 2047. The fact that the communist party completely ignores this fact does not make it go away. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_cou

I used to be my company's union rep when I worked in Norway. I had zero need to fight for anything my coworkers did not want. Actually, I was very happy to do nothing until my coworkers complained and asked me to talk to management.
