It sucks that the success of your business sounds dependent on the policies of the company in charge of the app store. Other than contacting Apple what can you do to combat this? That being said, I agree with most of the people here; live p

This is pretty subjective obviously. I think the GitLab interface is pretty good, especially compared to GitHubs. I can't speak for BitBucket since I've only used it once, but I do remember having a hard time finding my way aroun

You're running Windows running an X server running your Linux WM to run your linux apps. It's not a hack per se, but there's definitely more to the equation, and thus a lot more room for error.

Since it's been an hour and there hasn't been much response, I'll give my two cents. I don't work for a startup. However, I do work in a small team of 3 developers, and have recently been faced with the decision of choo

1. Ease of use I can give you. That being said, Linux for me is way easier to use than OS X or Windows so I think that's relative. 2. I'm sorry but I really can't agree with you at all about stability. Linux is incredibly sta

The main difference in hardware between the DE and the non-DE is the wireless card, which isn't impossible to get working but definitely a pain in the ass. I can only imagine with the touch screen and tablet-mode combined it would be

I'm not sure that they're actually trying to go for Slacks user base, I think they're targeting the same people they targeted for Lync and Skype for Business.

This is fairly old but if you're curious I have since gotten a new phone and have not connected to their wifi; it was likely their contacts that were uploaded to Facebook which included my number.

That might explain a pretty creepy thing Facebook did the other day to me. I just created a new Facebook account after maybe 4 years of radio silence. Two years ago, I had a job doing IT contracting; often I would go to businesses and repa

I don't think it's necessarily about using JavaScript as much as it is about using Chromium / Electron to easily create a consistent cross-platform experience.

That's weird. Older hardware is usually what works best on Linux. The only hardware-related issues I've ever had have been trying to run a brand new graphics card or on the latest macbook.

My girlfriend recently bought one for her daily driver. We decided to go with Arch Linux to gain access to packages as they release, rather than wait for the next iteration of Ubuntu or Fedora to get updates. Here are my pros and cons: Pro

I didn't mean to imply that a NAT was a firewall. Most home routers, which are for NAT (mostly) come with a firewall. Albeit a basic one, it still comes with one.

How are these devices being accessed despite most houses having a router with a firewall? I thought IPv4, being so limited in possible IPs, pretty much forced everyone to use a router for NAT? So would mean unless these people who have the
