GitHub is a pain to log in to on mobile, especially with 2FA. It's absurd that they would do something straight out of the Facebook playbook.

On the other hand, it might help their efforts of making people skeptical of the big bad Singularity in which AIs make us their pets. But maybe commercial interests superceded their Singularity misgivings.

If you like the philosophy of this, I heartily recommend you check out the first season of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. The second season is so-so, but the first season is amazing and jam-packed with cyberpunk and philosophical

There have been a couple of games with atrocious performance on PS4 including Broforce and Firewatch—and Broforce is a 2D sidescroller(!) I don’t know whether Unity is innately bad, or whether frameworks in general just tend to enable bad c

Hmm, Cloak is not there. I really like the people behind it, and they truly care about privacy and security. The iOS app is sorta wonky and turns on and off when it shouldn’t, though.

This looks really awesome, best implementation of this I've seen by far Personally, I'm really excited about this, but I also imagine a lot of companies might use BitBucket for its free private repos. The only think I kinda wish f

Why is eslint considered better than jshint+jscs? jscs also supports auto-fixing, which is pretty dope.

This is very cool and needed, thank you. Could you include a sample .proselintrc? rc files tend to have very different opinions on how to be formatted: dictionaries, JSON, bash-argument syntax, and so on. (EDIT: Ah, found one: https:/

"Olds" is a coy term by "millennials" who wanted the older generations who invented and keep using the term to get a taste of their own medicine. As far as keeping out "olds", look at what Tinder did by demandi

From what I gather, it requires an Enterprise plan, which has no fixed price. Could just be a free part of the plan considering the price tag of an Enterprise plan.

This way, they probably improve their (load-based) SEO without changing the non-AMP site.

Never understood why Valve didn't leverage Steam to build a database of performance benchmarks, especially to change the awful System Requirements system.

Exploiting is a bit loaded. Where I’m from, we call this “a free round”. There’s no downside to doing this, and a sizeable one to complying with the order. Still, it’s nice to see that Apple don’t hesitate, which makes me feel good about an

I wonder what distribution their income from private users vs orgs vs enterprise looks like. It feels like they don't care overmuch about the two former.

Compared to what, though? The alternatives are garbage, but projects like Wagtail (and Jekyll-based CloudCannon) are changing that.

Wagtail is one of the most interesting Django projects at the moment ( https://wagtail.io ). A great attempt to make CMSes as useable as humanly possible, which can't be said for WordPress, Drupal, and the usual fare.
