This was my first time; I usually fly to S-America. The flight was ~13 hours with a stopover in Istambul (highly recommended to go to the lounge!).

I sublet my apartment; my regular monthly rent with utilities' daily equivalent allows me decent hotels / lodges in S-E-Asia, S-America. Food and services are generally cheaper at these destinations too. I'd say 65-70% of my

This comment shows exactly why I like this question. Lot of related topics to branch out to! I actually wasn't ever interested in the "cut off date", but all these side topics, and why some people think differently about what

Change the question to "highways" then. (at least in most European countries, AFAIK horses are banned from them)

Agree with the sentiment. However it's hard to stay curious, even harder to stay up-to-date. I liked fiddling with storage for a while, got really into it, deepened my knowledge about it. A couple years later I realized everything else

Indeed. That's my understanding, too. However, my sentiment is rather this: I wouldn't pass an assembly programming interview, but I know enough about it so that I know what I don't know. Same with embedded programming, fpgas

You captured very well my sentiment. Also same feelings for AI. I'm wondering if it's time for me to switch professions and give up compsci / software altogether.

Funnily, I started using this word when I'm referring to social media, the addicts of daily TikTok and Instagram scrolling users. Maybe I'm exposed to this brain rot, since I am using this word lately a lot, and possibly, I picked

Genuine question, why do they require that they navigate on camera alone? I have a robomop which does some pretty accurate scanning with its radar. I thought this is cheap, consumer appliance grade technology already.

I do! Wow, what a flashback. I think it was formed from Mozilla's built in editor, and later on died quite quickly and was forked under a different name, which, in turn, died quickly.

Switching (back) from om Mac to Linux, I can definitely say that the painful experience was with the Mac, I just got used to it along the years. The Plasma desktop is now a breeze (literally ;-)). Battery is surprisingly long lasting, too (

1 hour of TV time PER DAY for small kids is considered restrictive? I would have thought it's much less. What would be an equivalent restriction on the phone/tablet/more actively engaging devices?
