I hadn't even considered a bike in SF due to the rampant theft, despite not having a car and taking MUNI/BART daily. And SF is not alone in this. As a country we need to figure out how to bring out crime levels down. The few times

So you'd rather OpenAI crush all business in the area by outcompeting them for workers, ensuring local businesses struggle to hire?

Rushing it out the door when there is a massive Twitter (and to a lesser extent Reddit) population that is ready to jump ship now seems like the right move to me. You can always add features after, you can't ask for better timing than

Am I the only one that is OK with CCTV + facial recognition? Seems like a great way to tackle crime without having to involve potentially deadly encounters with police. Ya there are ways it could be abused, but I assume I have no privacy (a

There are significantly more mods than reddit employees. Reddits already struggling to be profitable and you think they can afford to pay moderators?

The polls I've seen on subs after the reopened have been largely in favor of continuing the blackout. The community supports this, adding a more direct ability to remove mods is just going to be abused by brigading.

Yet every sub poll I've seen after the blackout has been >50% support to continue it. The community wants the blackout.

Yet still a significant portion of comments come from third party app users. Reddit wants to control how I post my likely close to 1000 comments a year, I just won't comment then. The content doesn't come out of this air, it comes

Reddit claiming removing mods is for the community, yet the community is against these API changes, and seems to support the blackouts from all the polling i've seen.

It is a health issue. But it clearly puts you in a state of mind where many people are unwilling to get help. Criminalizing drug trade (and to a far lesser extent, use), allows the government to get people the help they need. Yes we need mo

What else do you recommend a library do (within their limited budget), while also solving the issue that these encampments are making the library unsafe and dirty?

Or we are demanding real solutions. A library is not a homeless shelter. If the homeless population nearby is getting in the way of provide safe and clean access, the library should seek remedies to that. The progressive attitude of "a

The users that provide the content are pissed too. A significant portion of them will see the third party app they use die. I don't want to use their official app, and would be willing to pay a fair rate to do so, but their API prices

Where did you get that number from? Apollo dev's calc put it more in the range of $1.40/ YEAR not month. That makes it a 20x premium, not 2x. https://www.reddit.com/r/apolloapp/comments/13ws4w3/

Having an app store != locked down. AFAIK, you can run any software you want on a Steam deck without any hacking needed. Can you say the same for any non macOS apple product?

I think we as a society would benefit from evolving the "third place". A place that is neither work nor home where you can socialize. Like it or not, lot of people want remote work, so the best path forward is to adapt.

As someone who loves the occasional tight indie game that only has 2 hours of content, I agree. A game like "A short hike" couldn't exist if every game had this 2 hour policy. Hopefully its an opt-in system for game devs at t
