I guess it’s better than just doing share buybacks?

The backlash from this doesn’t show up on a spreadsheet so here we go!

I frequently get into this argument with people about how Postel's law is misguided. Being liberal in what you accept comes at _huge_ costs to the entire ecosystem and there are much better ways to design flexibility into protocols.

Spreadsheet doesn’t like that option because number go down more with this option

Use your judgement, don’t be bullied by people who prescribe using your judgment.

I don’t care at all about “leaking” the creation time for records. I think the documentation is overly zealous

I don’t think openai is that goal oriented around AGI whatever their posturing may be. They have to cash in eventually and are probably trying to figure out a pathway to a viable business.

I use this all the time when trying to get files between devices that need multiple hops to get to. Way easier then remembering what scp or rsync combo I need to jump through a host

Why would you ever pick a language like this for HFT? It seems like a nonstarter for me but I guess Java is out there in use

And then we can take a bunch with correlated risk, pretend it isn't correlated, and sell it as a lower risk product!

I think this is a consequence of our plurality voting system and the resulting game theory. Polarization is the most effective strategy, and it also has a bunch of other knock on effects that benefit the people in power.

Blazor is fucking terrible. In principle it works in some use cases, the the library is designed horribly and it's very difficult to implement well behaved components. It's like a half-baked react 10 implementation.

Is it counting revenue multiple times? It's buying your own products really, but not sure how that counts as double counting revenue

This is a serialization library. The entire point is to communicate with data that's coming from out of process. It should be safe by default especially if it's adding a quick check to avoid overflow and undefined behavior.

2 billion characters seems fairly plausible to hit in the real world

Strongly disagree here because JSON can come from untrusted sources and this has security implications. It's not the same kind of problem that the bloat article discusses where you just have bad contracts on interfaces.

Thank you for all the hard work on C#! I’ve been loving the past 5 years of developments and don’t agree with the parent comment here. p.s. I will take the opportunity to say that I dream of the day when C# gets bounded sum types with compi
