Create a LinkedIn profile, with links to any projects she may have done. Use the right keywords. Recruiters use this to find and contact people with specific skills. Maybe also take a 2-3 sentences to explain the gap, with a positive spin.

Many universities already have a technology transfer office of some sort, for work done by researchers on staff using university resources. TTOs mostly deal patent management, but sometimes they fund spin-off companies as well. Extending th

Obviously, I do not want people starve or freeze to death. I guess I should have made that more clear? But, the term refugee has a very particular meaning and comes with a particular set of rights, re:the UN. See: http://www.unhc

This article skirts around the critical point that these are not actually refugees. They may have started their journey as a refugee, escaping some horrific conditions in their home country. But then, they traveled through many European saf

Hmm. There are many reasons why you might not want to relocate to the US, but car culture should not be one of them. Depending on the city, it is entirely possible (nay, often preferable) to live without a car. See https://www.wa

Hmm, I would disagree. Data Structures and Algorithms, definitely. Linear Algebra, maybe, for certain jobs. Computational Topology? No way. Totally unnecessary unless you are going into academia or a very specific subfield. It is not even s

Sort of. The ascent booster separates from the crew capsule, which basically uses parachutes for its deceleration. For descent of the booster, there will be some fuel requirements, but most of the work should also be done by the parachutes

It doesn't help that Mac books come with 2.7 installed. For someone starting out (Python is often used as a teaching language in CS101-esque classes), figuring out how to get one's machine to use 3 might seem really difficult/

The notion of "primitive" cultures, societies, religions etc. has not been taken seriously by anthropologists for decades. His whole argument hinges on theories of cultural relativism from the late 19th and early 20th century. So,

OK, maybe that was a bad example, but it also wasn't the point. If you do a connectome mapping for one particular purpose, the ability to analyze that mapping data for many other (perhaps more insidious) purpose seems like a real probl
