There should be a way to find out who on HN is attending what conference/s so that if we end up going to the same venues, we could schedule meetups. Anything like that exist?

I remember watching the movie "Traitor" a few years back and wondering if Al Qaida used something similar to what the fictional terrorists were using in that movie. (From what I remember, they were merely writing messages and saving them as

But it's enough of a barrier to keep out the really low projects. Compared to people that ask you to program a Facebook clone in 5 days for $200, it's a lot better.

Google is such an interesting company. Compare this page with an Apple page trying to sell a product: http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/ or http://www.apple.com/ipod There's absolutely no comparison. My non-technical friends (heck, even m

This guy is just awesome. His quote, I know how to control the universe. So tell me, why should I run for a million? actually gave me goosebumps. Not many people actually live by their principles like this. Good for him.

Ubermedia really got screwed on this one. They went from having significant leverage and controlling a lot of tweeting marketshare...to losing all that.

I get my domains from Dreamhost personally (and host with Mediatemple); they've both been exemplary. (But then again, who isn't when you compare them to GoDaddy?)

One quick note: On your http://hackermonthly.com/reviews.html Reviews Page, you list those people's names and startup. Since it's Hacker Monthly, I'd just love to see their HN id as well. Just a small tidbit :)

C'mon. Young people make mistakes. Young suddenly-rich successful people will often make bad decisions. Hating on Steve Jobs for something he has done previously when he was young and stupid makes as much sense as hating on Mark Zuckerburg

Since when has being a truly unique candidate with a previous track record of success and a genuine entrepreneurial spirit hurt in job hunting? I'd say that should make you stand out, not hurt you in any way. If that's not the case, there's

Isn't Arrington disclosing his conflicts of interests, though? AND going out of his way to not report on them? He was even outed by one of his own as an investor and didn't do anything to stop it. Where's the problem here?

Well, this at least applies if you're starting a company from scratch. You can hire someone that might be a genius...but not a team-player or might hurt the dynamic. That's where I was going with this.
