As others have mentioned they are custom parts, but if you were forced to qualify them as either "laptop" or "desktop" parts they are much, much closer to AMD's laptop lineup than the desktop ones. Monolithic design

That only marginally improves asset streaming performance. Both CPU RAM and a pcie x16 slot have much more bandwidth than any nvme drive will (which is only x4 pcie, after all, even ignoring the limitations of the NAND flash & control

There's a process for overturning "bad decisions" it's called passing legislation. There's a reason Stare Decisis is supposed to be a thing, after all. But if the Supreme Court doesn't have to listen to itself,

I can't quite make out the actual number but Sony said TLOU2 took longer than Horizon Forbidden West's 5 years to develop. Let's just call it 6 years to make it an easy number. $220m over 200 people over 6 years ~= $200k/

The RAM being "on unit" has no impact here. It just requires the CPU & GPU to share an IOMMU & share the memory bus. Whether or not that RAM is soldered or not is totally irrelevant. Laptops have had unified memory for a ~

Except in that scenario you absolutely don't want green threads but real threads. M:N threading (especially if N=1) doesn't help you get parallelism, and parallelism is what you need for modern CPUs. So that again keeps green thre
