I think the token economy thing is a good idea. You could also do a market approach of rewarding people who pick the top performers, but that gets really tricky.

Great article, thanks for providing a point of view from someone who's not talking out of their a$$ (aka me). The wiki idea is very, very interesting - it's got that same "I'm not doing this for money but to help the world be a better plac

Thanks for the correction, I've updated the post accordingly. The idea behind the 10 minute sessions was to address issues with short attention spans. Maybe that could be another dynamic variable - the lessons change in duration once they

You may want to come out to the Seattle Tech Startup meeting on 8/12 on the UW campus. I've been going for the past year or so and it's usually a fun event. http://www.seattletechstartups.com/doku.php

Startup ideas are just the beginning of my plot. These ideas are really just my way of getting some attention prior to the release of my new site: ClubbingBabySeals.com. Once that IPOs, I should have enough money to buy a really, really,

You caught me, man! I actually did have a few paragraphs tackling this but to be perfectly honest A) it was really boring and B) given my status as an MS employee I do need to be a little careful with what I say around this. Not even so m

Same thing could have been said about Facebook re: MySpace. :) Seriously though, this is a good point. Any time you go up against a competitor with a product in market, billions in the bank, and a huge incentive to make there product succ

Hi Dave - There are actually two sides to this project. A Startup A Day is a brainstorming excercise where myself and occasionally others throw out ideas that we think might be interesting. As you might expect from any brainstorming excer

Thanks for the links - I checked these out, and while they are cool CMS products, it's not quite what I had in mind. I'm not looking for a full CMS system or framework, I just want a simple library + compiler that can plug into any existin
