Some good links have been posted. I'll post another, but it's just the first link I saw for what it is I think you should learn first: the Distributive, Associative, and Commutative Laws. They're taught in middle school, and

What do I think the future holds? More of the same. Local minima and maxima recogized as such after-the-fact. Surprises. Pleasurable and Painful. We just don't know what we don't know. Survival of our species, but less diversity i

I cannot recall ever reading an admission that all the star-gazing we do is looking into the past. The very distant past in many cases. The IR from Dyson Spheres, alien radio, all that, could be on it's way, inside our light-cone. Arti

The other 2 replies notwithstanding, I find your comment very interesting. Reminds me of "memory leak", the definition of which seems so completely backwards ... at first. As to whether absolute pacifism is more odious than viole

Sorry, I'm not qualified to say. I cut short my dives into both Prolog and PicoLisp. Too many segfaults (myfaults) in PicoLisp. I need more hand-holding or time. I'm keeping my Prolog books though. Will return to them _someday_. F

Over my head, but I'd like to get Don Hoffman and Chetan Prakash to review this paper. Link discussing their work if you are not familiar, which no doubt I found here on HN. https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.

Looks neat but I gave up on it converging on my new laptop. I'm going to port it to rebol2. This bit confuses me: random.choice(range(0, i) + range(i+1, 4)) how is that different from random.choice(range(0, 4))? Obviously
