It's language specific but I would recommend eloquent Ruby. One of the most engaging programming books I've read

Lack of diversity doesn't suck assuming the company hired the best talent for the role. Diversity for the sake of diversity is horrible and makes you dislike the people for just being there

I disagree. A good deployment tool like Ansible, puppet, chef or salt can make deployment dead simple with little to no work

Looks cool. I like its code based which I think may make it easier to keep it up to date than if it was external configuration file(s). I do really like how well tested Monit is though

My understanding is that github is a ruby front end / scripting shop who uses go on the backend for data manipulation and database work

Looks cool. Wish you didn't have to pay $100 each time you restarted and the PayPal and email cancelation is not anything I would trust sadly. Just seems to risky for a "well we didn't get your cancelation, sorry" situat

Fully agreed. I'd rather someone innovate, be passionate yet fail than do the same old garbage (not literally, just so much stuff is cookie cutter these days) and "produce"

Honestly why do we care? Yes Tor and stuff should have fixed this but honestly for 90% of users things like user agents give away versions anyway
