I appreciate the context here, though I strongly dislike the reason. One of the values, in my opinion, of learning and working with multiple languages is being exposed to new paradigms and concepts rather than relying on a single approach t

So I work with this field and evangelize OpenAPI at work. The simple fact is, very few developers actually know about it, and the pool of online tutorials that don’t mention it so vast, I think it becomes a problem of scale and knowledge. S

My understanding is that can is only half the question. Yes, the changes CAN be upstreamed but my understanding (through others, so take it with a grain of salt), is that the CPython doesn’t like to take optimization changes that obscure th

Finding someone who taught me how to care less about learning how to code and got me actually just doing a project. Breaking out the learning cycle into the building cycle was key for me.

Agreed. A common reason for shared terminology in computing is to encourage re-use of techniques, this is a great example of that

Sounds like this may pair with something like OSO for Python (osohq.com), thanks! Do you plan to directly support language specific client libraries or are you looking for community support of that work?

One comment based on a discussion I was having yesterday on this subject, I’d be careful of the term seeding. I think of seed data as data required for the app to function properly. For example, I seed my application database with a system
