Netflix just released its Q1 numbers. They've added record 6.9 million subscribers. That's new subscribers - defectors. I'm not sure what would cause the "masses" to re-evaluate the quality of selection, especially

Some interesting updates on and information about Tesla's AutoPilot. Few interesting things from the interview: Musk seems very confident that full self-driving will be ready within 2 years and that Tesla will do it before anyone else.

If nothing else, what do you expect Google to say? "No, we'll definitely be dropping this"? The services that Google dropped were either big bets that ended up as massive failures in the marketplace (e.g. wave, google+) or se

It looks like we're both doing the same thing. I don't know, maybe I'm not counting things right but for example https://codecov.io/gh/ravendb/ravendb-go-client/src/master/d... shows

Yes I did and I don't think it's crazy. I'm not sure a tool could do 100% translation but I'm sure it could do a lot. A surprisingly large amount of time was just moving the order of variable declaration from Java's

It's true that if those code bases were evolving together, it would be possible to make them more in sync by sticking closer to what Go provides. But RavenDB is 10 years old. Java client already exists and has 50 thousands lines of cod

I do use builtin coverage. It's just it's nice to be able to track code coverage over time, which is what codecov.io provides. Also, running all tests (to get full code coverage) takes 20 minutes and makes fan on my laptop unhappy

Kotlin can already use existing Java library, I presume. The goal for the company was to enable an estimated 1 million of Go programmers to use RavenDB database. This is Java AND Go (and Python and Node) scenario, not Java OR Go.

RavenDB is written in C#. At first, it was Windows only but now is cross-platform database engine (Windows / Linux / Mac OS). As a result, the original and most featureful client is for C# / .NET. Java client is a port of C#
