Google’s crawler, or rather the component that processes pages, is much more advanced now. I’ve read it has no problem handling complex SPAs where only a “shell” page is initially returned and no information is available until JS runs. They

...good point. If I’m famous one day, the cards could be significantly more valuable. I’m not strapped for cash (knock on wood) right now so I plan to hold on to them indefinitely, until an obvious reason to sell or give them away appears.

From what I’ve read and come to understand, NFTs may one day become meaningful if they are legally recognized as a claim to ownership. Then, they can serve as a decentralized, easily sold form of copyright. To sell IP for example now, you n

Are Yu-Gi-Oh cards worth much now? Have a huge collection. Unfortunately my we’ll-meaning mom wrote my initials in sharpie on the back of a bunch of the cards so that people wouldn’t steal them, LOL. I’m wondering what kind of cleaner will

I've been working on a canvas-mostly render library. Some things like text input would require using the native component to some degree; e.g., the input element could be invisible while the canvas would render the text field in its pl

I’m 26 and barely functional. Pushed too hard in sport in HS (swimming), then too hard in college. Got hired at one of the big tech out of college, but was so burnt out that I couldn’t do the work and quit after a year. Only Adderall gives

Psychology has a gazillion competing theories for everything. They ought to do a little more “converging” and a little less “diverging” for a bit (to borrow the diamond model from psychology).

Just ask GPT3 how many papers resulted in proving the negation of the hypothesis, and how many papers resulted in reasonably proving the hypothesis. And maybe inconclusive results for sake of completeness. It would be interesting to see the

All the bloat of the many abstraction layers. Also maybe (some of) the rendering is happening in the CPU; didn't check to see how they did it.

Turns out that was developed by Amazon according to Wikipedia. So maybe they’re merging that usage into this offering (since that is a spec for search results)?

It’s what Chrome’s tab to search utilizes. If you implement the protocol users can tab-to-search your site even with autocomplete.

I love the Deno dinosaur. Side note: I wish it were "deno" (uncapitalized). Just a stylistic annoyance for me.

Well, Deno is using Rust extensively and V8 is the only "Chrome" part.

I hope that Deno can maximize TS performance. Right now they compile TS internally, but especially with this new financially-backed focus I hope that they can perhaps modify V8 or fork it to create a TS engine that takes advantage of type i
