I had previously successfully used my Solokey (a Yubikey-like product) on my Samsung S21 mobile phone. I was able to use it to log into Google, Fastmail, Facebook, et al. At some point in the recent past I lost my ability to use my Solokey.

That has been my experience as well. I've not come across a laptop that accepts a charge from a low power USB-C PD charger. I'm aware the standards allow for falling back to lower voltages but it seems laptop manufacturers specifi

I did look into that for my family domain but the storage space for the basic plan was so low I ended up sticking with regular accounts. Only two accounts though so bearable. If I was in OP's situation with six family members I probabl

I back up to both rsync and Hetzner. Both have reasonable costs and rsync has given me good long term discounts too without even asking.

I've had both Apple and Lenovo laptops over the years and both seem to perform similarly on my mixed 2.4GHz and 5GHz network. Lenovo have always been Intel WiFi chips whereas Apple seems to go for other brands such as Broadcom. I find

Australia has the worst rural service I've come across in my travels so I wouldn't hold them up as a good example. There are medium sized rural towns with service only from one or maybe two telcos and even then the capacity is oft
