Yes, an excellent film! It’s all just voltage, but obviously with video oscillating at much higher rates. You use most ‘audio’ modules with video modules and vice versa. All the typical logic works like divide, mult, add, etc. It’s a really

You beat me to it. Much like vinyl, this stuff tends to maintain a pretty core following. The eurorack modular synth boom is certainly introducing a lot of new people to analogue video synthesis. Exciting times!

Responding to hyperbole with hyperbole isn’t a very productive way to get your point across.

Agreed! In addition to the authors skills, Vue just seems to win the readability battle hands down when compared to other js frameworks. The single file components are really quite magical in practice.

I love this company and this new offering. Such a pleasure to work with - from both a developer and customer perspective. I only wish the other regions would roll out quicker(sfo please!)

I don't think the size of the warehouse matters - that's like caring how a big the kitchen is at a great restaurant. It's the experience of finding the thing you spend money on, and then getting whatever value it is you hoped

That caught my eye as well. It would not be a bad strategy at all to leak the names of as many potential scapegoats as possible if one were avoiding accountability.

In my experience, the biggest cause of framework churn is bad architecture and development patterns - no clear separation of business logic and 'framework', which forces these all-or-nothing rewrites with the sexy framework of the

Ahh right, tcsh! Thanks for reminding me. I think being so lost at the tcsh prompt is what first prompted me to start learning other shells and ended up with Zsh for a long awhile. Also, I had no idea the fish dev worked at Apple. I have no

As someone who heavily tinkered with opendarwin, its great to see this still has a heartbeat :) Would be nice to get a base docker image going instead of using VM though...might add this to the side project list!

IIRC csh was the default pre OS 10.2 days. I previously thought zsh fit the Apple ethos and aesthetic the best with its nice completions and clean(er) syntax. Now I wish they’d start shipping fish as it provides such a nice experience out o

Profound indeed, and very similar in principle to the Toyota Production System / Lean Manufacturing. It’s too bad these methodologies aren’t more prevalent in corporate culture. Imperative Command & Control methods always seems to

Yeah, extremely disappointed in this. I’ve been a heavy Trello advocate since it launched, but the lack of real native clients puts a pretty low ceiling on it’s usefulness at scale. Atlassian has plenty of native developers on their team, n

My hopes are definitely dashed! I had visions of never buying another iPhone again and just using a watch, iPad, and laptop. Much like the iPod and iPhone were tethered to iTunes and then later gained autonomy, I’m hoping they’ll get there

Very thankful for the security community keeping up the diligence on this. If this can manage to stay in the news cycle for several more days, something may actually be done. Otherwise, (and this seems far more likely) the world will move o

A million upvotes if I could. It’s always surprising to me how many “lean” and “agile” productivity tools completely focus on the artifacts and seem to have skipped the core concepts entirely.

Certainly. Most modular synths have all the basics - Sum, divide, multiply, add, XOR, etc. And don’t forget, analogue random is the shit. In your face entropy!

Agreed on specialization being valuable, but the issue that arises is when this type of UX/Product process isn’t in place the specialists tend to spin out of control and lose sight of the users. And likewise, the UX team really, really

The one in Venice at Windward seems to work pretty well. I haven’t seen the SM ones yet. I wonder if it’s just poor implementation - signage, control system timing, and sensors could maybe help.

I'm surprised that tinc-vpn.org isn't mentioned more in these VPN threads. It's such a pleasure to work with when compared to OpenVPN. You can standup a distributed mesh VPN in minutes.
