I agree with your point 3. This is more like a DSL for Gantt charts, a bit like what PlantUML is for s/w diagrams. It's very useful for that, don't get me wrong. But associating it with Markdown is a stretch.

I doubt anyone would run a Kafka cluster that spans multiple regions. Stretch clusters and clusters with brokers in different AZs are absolutely a thing in Kafka. I make no comment on the ease relative to Nats, which I don't know at

AMQP & MQTT are messaging protocols. You would need protocol handlers either end with this in the middle. Having said that, you would need to match the protocol to the interaction style. Not all are appropriate.

This headline is definitely not correct - the actual heajne should be "some reports of free tier users being locked out of their netlify support". The headline is exactly correct. There is no editorialising at all. Additionally,

Apologies replying to myself, but Netty, which underpins many of the popular Java backend frameworks, see backward compatibility as more important than supporting green threads. https://github.com/netty/netty/issue

There's quite a few Java frameworks and libraries that will need to re-evaluate their existence (or at minimum, their core APIs) when green threads become popular.
