I just was thinking about this the other day and I concluded that I will teach my kids TO THINK, but no display or programming language is required for that. You can teach the basics on paper or drawings, teaching a programming language syn

I fully disagree with "Fail 2". Tools shouldn't automatically update dependencies, developers should be full control of what and when to update them. Dependency handling is a very complex topic, it's hardly something you

We used the Ticket Type field with a totally different workflow. There was always one developer on each sprint whose task was to only bug fixes, nothing else. That person got the "Bug" Type tickets. It was always a mistake in exis

It is always a good idea to set concrete targets whatever you do. If you have those targets (KPIs if you wish), you will know when to quit. Your goal can be 10 or 100 paying customers by the end of the year, it doesn't really matter, y

The first use case is actually handling project dependencies. If I remember correctly, it couldn't build packages at the first time, so the "build" subcommand was introduced only later. It's the same type of package mana

    > Pipenv or poetry? If you used pipenv for a complex project with huge dependency tree, or used it for a long time, you definitely run into a blocker issue with it. That is the worst package manager of all, and probably the reason why Py

One example I worked on myself: when you need to train lots of ML models and need lots of video cards. Those would be damn expensive in the cloud!

Ansible configuration is imperative (you need to run notebooks in order) but Kubernetes YAML is declarative. That alone is a huge difference!

It helps a lot if you pick something you think is important, not just start working on some random ideas. Or maybe you can accept that you like jumping from project to project and that's okay too.
