Pretty much this. You can't search discord but its a byproduct of a self-serving goal of the platform. Perhaps we need more projects like Reddit but without the VC money.

I think this is the biggest misconception that VC world has created, the notion that you need to innovate, have an original idea or build something new on top of a new technology trend. If you look around you still have companies making mil

This is so interesting but not sure if this is healthy. For things that really bring you benefit in the end like gym it seems reasonable. With hating your profession and overriding it can IMO cause some serious mental issues but maybe I am

It also seems that most bigger startups that are calling the OpenAI API will now need to invest tonnes in security.

The assertion that the startup will achieve this scale is the main pitfall here imo, the chance is less than 0.01%. By the time you reach this problem, you'll have an army of developers to take care of this.

This is my biggest gripe. I am learning programmning as a hobby, I don't have much time in a day but like to allocate at least 1-2 hours to practice. When deciding on the language to learn, I really really wanted to go with Ruby and th

See, that's what a lot of people say about Ruby. But some weird people like me enjoy JavaScript despite its downsides and find Ruby terrible. Maybe its irrational but familiarity sometimes wins over level of idiomacy.
