Probably depends how big and muscular are you. I don't feel 14' PRO in my backpack at all, 16 PRO barely. Its not a flex but it definitely matters if you are a 5'1 female or 6'2 male.

Pretty much a weekly occurrence for my work with Confluence. Never happened to me with Logseq, also why are we making a trend of something that has happened to 5 people out of 10000 users? Kind of a bias when you see only horror stories of

Thinking about how to learn is fascinating. A few short things that helped me: Essentially we need to get fundamentals first. Then apply the knowledge and get challenged (feedback loop) -> build a project, play in front of others, speak

Funny that you mentioned WebMD - they just released this cringe video to let people return to the office: https://www.vice.com/en/article/7kxqnx/dont-mess-with-us-web...

> Its hard to work hundreds of hours on something knowing the end monetary value is going to be $0 Thats kind of a crux of an issue. Why not find something you'd work on regardless whether it will be worth $0 or $100?

This is such a powerful question (another version of it, what would you do if you wouldn't have to worry about money). Sometime ago I tried to answer it and realised that I don't know. It sparked anxiety, meaning I've been do

It should stand a test of time. Don't pick-up books released this year. Search for the ones being recommended by people you trust and that are at least 5+ years old.

If the question would be phrased as, I want to get proficient and get to learn how to build a full SaaS app from scratch knowing JS/HTML/CSS, what would be the answer then?

Apples and Oranges, not from a complexity perspective but WA was majorly subsidized by VC and later FB without monetization for years. Spotify has a completely different business model, architecture etc.

Yep. Resonates a lot. I've tinkered with code on the side and realised its very hard to do it "part-time". Learned HTML/CSS in 2012. Built an app in Rails in 2014. Learned basic Javascript in 2018. Delved into React in 2
