Thanks to Stuart Sierra for a great Clojure 2012 summary. Personally, I'm very pleased to have tracked close to 95% of what was mentioned as 2012 was a year of Clojure immersion for me. I had settled on Clojure after building a few toy proj

My initial reaction was to upvote @eccp, based on my experience with leiningen the first time round. Long story short: went around in circles following outdated (but seemingly comprehensive) guides that twisted my mind with hopeless combina

Just wanted to note that, if I'm not mistaken, your reference to "accidental complexity" should be "incidental complexity". Nice post. A Rich Hickey groupie here as well - like you I love his talks for their mind widening value.

'It's true that G+ is driven more by "interest communities" than by "friends and family links".' And that is one of the main reasons I prefer G+ over Facebook. Facebook is nice to keep in touch with ones family and friends (old and new), bu

Thanks swannodette, both for your work on ClojureScript and for the link to Conrad Barski's webfui. I had noted the dates for Clojure Conj 2012 and Conrad's talk but obviously time passed by swiftly. I look forward to the videos of Clojure

I forgot to add to [x]: noir, lein-cljsbuild and clojurescript one; and to the ClojureScript side: jayq, fetch, waltz and crate.

Doing what the OP challenges us to do: I don't care what Linus Torvalds uses on his computer. It's easy. And I particularly don't like KDE Plasma, even if Linus does. But I do like Linus Torvalds. He's a straight talking guy who has cons

Clojure does make difficult things easy. And it's getting better and better with the rapid evolution of new libraries and middleware. Given one of the core differences in approach, composibility for Clojure and 'convention over configuratio

I think most of the examples assume a single developer beginning the process of learning Clojure. That would explain what appears to be the assumption that one person will be handling both the front- and back-ends because it's easier to set

Not a Brit, but yeah, it is football to the world at large. Congratulations to Sting and Tim Jahnigen, this is heart warming. Regarding the cost of the balls, I think when you factor in a 30 year life and assume a cost of $30 per ball, we a

Yes, I found Clojure frameworks, handlers and middleware to be lightweight and easy to use. I'm amazed at how well structured and easy to set up a Clojure web stack can be. Still working my way through the different libraries, and enjoying

Yes, to me the title suggested the article was about the immaturity of Clojure Code (as in not ready for prime time) and it was only upon reading it that I realized it was about the immaturity of the OP's Clojure code as he began his Clojur
