Me too. I'd love something more official but I'm optimistic that Google have reversed their stance. EDIT: Oh well, that last all but a few minutes...!

LLM’s are first trained to predict the next most likely word (or token if you want to be accurate) from web crawls. These models are basically great at continuing unfinished text but can’t really be used for instructions e.g. Q&A or cha

I've encoded xHE-AAC at 6 kbit/s mono, which is the closest match I could get. It performs much better and is widely supported (Android 9/iOS 13/macOS 10.15/Windows 11), although there are no free low bitrate encode

Worth pointing out that when this complaint was filed Spotify was publicly complaining about the lack of equal access to the HomePod and Apple Watch.[0] Apple addressed this with API’s at WWDC the following year.[1] Yet here we are, almost

At least in my tests, GPT-4 also seems suspiciously good at reading text so it’d be surprised if they weren’t also doing this.

All sufficiently large companies are going to have a few shady employees but Samsung's response to brush this under the carpet and take down online posts about this is gross.

Honestly, I regret raising the point - sorry. The existence of the MFI programme isn't the problem. Just that Apple was planning on enforcing it on a USB C iPhone when they didn't on iPad. I could never imagine this situation: an

Thanks. I don’t deny that the commissioner sent a letter but I doubted the existence of the secret (“Made for iphone”) plans that prompted it.

> Apple reportedly tried to circumvent EU regulation and got an explicit public warning from EU commissioner who read the secret plan from the media outlets. Then they retracted their MFi for USB-C plan Source? This has conspiracy theory

> Funnily Apple was dragging their feet in this space back then. Isn’t that in part due to Apple being slow to adopt OLED along with its unusual subpixel arrangement which requires higher ppi to look good.

Thanks for clarifying. That said, if you did want it, couldn’t you just offer a PRO series option e.g. AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 7840U?

Is there any reason why this isn’t a choice at least for the DIY configurations? Otherwise seems a bit wasteful and against the ethos of the company.

While not officially confirmed, it seems likely as the A15 appears too ( https://nitter.net/dylan522p/status/1438313107231842304 ), and VMware seems pretty optimistic ( https://nitter.net/denniscdietr

This all seems pretty short sighted. Great in the short term (I want a USB-C iPhone and for everything today to be USB-C) but will surely be a pain going forward - where would USB-C be if this policy had standardised on micro USB earlier?

My understanding and usage of a "walled garden" is to mean a closed ecosystem. By definition it no longer exists if Epic wins. Continuing the analogy: Some people want a walled garden to keep their kids safe, but your suggesting t
