Demand for Apple's M1 laptop isn't going to be a problem for TSMC if Apple is currently their only customer with volume production of 5nm parts. I'm trying to understand where the idea of any 5nm shortage comes from. The shor

Does everyone want 5nm? Would another fab tomorrow be useful? Who's actually shipping 5nm at volume except Apple right now? Are Huawei or were they forced elsewhere? Broadcom 5nm is barely going yet, neither AMD or Nvidia are shipping

Is webrtc-rs usable? There are ticks missing for Media or DataChannel and PeerConnection. Aren't these required to do anything useful?

Aren't these BGAs? Safely removing and then also re-balling large non-socketed chips is tricky. Do they actually have machines for this? I understand that the re-work house we use do it by hand and also spend a chunk of time inspecting

That's what i thought also which is why I was curious it was considered top performing. I suppose there are metrics other than profitability to define performance.

There used to be libre.fm and it looks like there still is. The API was designed to be a drop-in replacement for last.fm. Last time I checked it was missing some stuff. They also have a lasttolibre tool for migrating your data. If last.fm g

I don't know if this is just a coincidence but there's a Morrisons supermarket almost opposite this new store in Ealing. They could wheel the stock over the road in a trolley if they wanted!

Cool, thanks! I had a go at a comparison. This is Spotify ("Very high" and volume normalization disabled), then Tidal ("HiFi") and then yours (CD then Spotify). https://drive.google.com/file/d/1

I totally agree, the same way many games are. But in the context of saying "x is by far most successful y on the planet" I think we have to stop somewhere. Otherwise an open game like GTA V becomes the most successful game (in ter

Technically you could get a Raspberry Pi at https://www.mythic-beasts.com/order/rpi for £7.25 per month but I'm not sure if this is what you had in mind. It's not exactly a server and it's not going to w

If you do decide to give the pi another chance, move the root partition to an ssd and avoid the SD card woes. Or, boot from a USB device and have no sd card at all on the Pi 4. Both work well and a cheap option as you probably already habe

As I understand it, the firmware for the majority of MicroSD cards is very limited. The physical size and low price point are likely the reason you don't see these more complex features in consumer cards. Also, if I recall, there'

Are there any nicer interfaces for gitweb? The basic functionality (just browsing a repo) is perfect but it's not the prettiest. Edit: this looks like what I mean, just so happens to be github style but that's not a requirement!

That's a good reference. I had assumed there were 1000 instruction memory SRAMs in there but of course that'd be impossible considering the leakage numbers and there's actually just 12 x 64KB SRAMs shared by all the cores:
